Cargill Community Coaching
On the day that England won the World Cup in 2003 Luctonians launched the Sun Valley Rugby Project. It's aim was to take rugby into the schools of North Herefordshire and beyond. Thanks to the generous support of
Sun Valley Foods ( principal Sponsor), Tyrrells Potato Chips and Bengry's Motors the club were able to fund a fulltime coach to introduce 1000's of young people to the game and in turn create exit routes to all clubs in the County.
In 2008 The TagFest set an official Guinness World record for the largest schools tournament of its kind.
The success of the project was confirmed when the RFU asked if they could take it over as the delivery arm for a new Comunity Rugby Coach (CRC). This happened in January 2010 and with Sun Valley Foods being rebranded and keen to be still involved it is now called Cargill Community Coaching.
The CRC role is currently held by Aaron Jones who works from Luctonians club office and can be contacted on 07872 465 441 or emailed at Aaronjones@trherfu.com
