Thank You to all who sponsored the event and to the wonderful Lucs Family and the wider Local Community who supported us in such a magnificent way.

You are all so amazing

What was it all about?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to highlight the importance of breast awareness, education and research. So, in celebration of this, Lucs are turning pink on Saturday 14th October in their fixture against Leicester Lions! Take a look below!

Cool. But why?

These one-off shirts will be worn for the match, then immediately afterwards the shirts will be auctioned off, and all proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer Haven Hereford. So come on over, grab yourself a very cool memento of the day and help raise funds for this very worthy cause. As a charity Breast Cancer Haven Hereford relies on the community we serve to fund their service. Wear it, frame it or donate it.

Whatever you want to do with it if you win one you’ll be helping raise funds for a a really good cause, so get stuck in!

Did we also mention that the players will model said shirts on the catwalk and that the winning bidder will also have it’s wearer to do with as they wish for a couple of hours after the match? Oh, sorry, thought we did.

About Breast Cancer Haven

Breast Cancer Haven

Breast Cancer Haven Hereford is the charity that supports women through their breast cancer treatment. When breast cancer tries to rob a woman of her individuality, her confidence or her strength, we provide the tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support that helps her hold on to them.

We support women and their families via a network of 6 welcoming centres around the UK, of which Hereford is one, and through an expanding network of other services. We’re there to provide women with breast cancer with the support that treatment alone can’t.

Our trained professional nurses, therapists, and counsellors provide each visitor with up to ten free hours of supportive therapy time in addition to two hours of nurse specialist time.

In the words of one of our visitors

‘the NHS saved my life, but Breast Cancer Haven, enabled me to live it again’.

Family members and close friends of people that have been diagnosed with breast cancer can access up to fours hours of free counselling.
