Securcom – Keeping Your Business Up and Running

In these tough economic times, the margins are even tighter for our farmers. Securcom has, over the last 30 years, supplied their electrical expertise and knowledge in helping poultry producers to maximise their business efficiency.

Steven Yarwood, Managing Director of Securcom, says, “We carry out new installations all over the country, for poultry producers such as – Cargill Meats, Faccenda Foods, Hy-Line, and Aviagen. Over the last 20 years the company has continued to grow, into what you see today. We employ 20 full time electricians,  who have many years’ experience within the poultry industry. We are well respected in the poultry world, due to our work being carried out to the highest standards and our after care service being second to none”

To provide a dedicated service is vitally important to us.

Projects rely on fixed deadlines such as bird placement dates, meaning careful planning-  and communications with other contractors is crucial to the smooth running of jobs.

Securcom keep up to date with the latest advances in poultry building design and operation. Nowadays a modern poultry shed site may have several kilometres of cabling installed.

Steven Yarwood explains, “Technology has changed quite dramatically from just standard ventilation of a poultry house to computerized ventilation, bird weighing, feed blending and remote controlled ventilation via smart phones. It has come on tremendously  in the last 20 years. We are familiar with all types of installations and ventilation carried out in the UK, whether it be jfmckenna-Fancom, Climatec, and DACS systems. We have fully trained engineers to cover any type of installation”

“They have been excellent to work with. Technically they are great and they have communicated well and that makes a project for us” says Robin Spooner – BPS Equipment.

“If I was to do anything in the UK as a farmer I would call them. They have done a very professional job.“ says Jens Dybdahl – Managing Director, DACS.

“There are very few professional poultry electrician firms around and Securcom are certainly one of the best” says Peter Smart – farm owner, Gloucester.

For farmers diversifying and investing in poultry houses for the first time,  these endorsements are especially reassuring.
