Captain Doug Glasgow  reported that the season had started strong, with a quiet period in the middle, but then finishing strong with a good win against Hereford.
As a relatively new player with the club, he observed that,
‘No matter what level we play at, we are still one club and one family’.
He paid tribute to Coach, Graham Tate and the support of Chris JonesSteve Peruffo and Andy ‘Sheep’ Williams.
As ‘the strong foundation of the Squad’, Alex Vaughan was awarded Player of the Season.

Luctonians 2nd XV

Coach, George Thomas, praised the performance of all players, but singled out Harry Whiteman as Most Improved Player, in that he, through hard work and a desire to learn, has gone from a fringe squad player to probably the first name on the team sheet over the last few months.
Player of the season went to Joel Middleton for his sheer enthusiasm, adaptability and hard work.

Alacadoo of the Season

This season the award goes to one of the longest standing Alacadoos and Hon. Life Member of Luctonians, Robin East.
In the last FIFTEEN YEARS of following the First Team, he has only missed ONE SINGLE GAME, Home or Away.
You may think that he had a fairly reasonable excuse though, as it was his daughter’s wedding.

Head Coach, Ryan Watkins summed up the season and said farewell, at least for the present, to players Piers MorellFrank Kelly and Louis Silver. Go Well Guys.

The top try scorer this season was awarded to Josh Watkins. 10 tries in 20 games this year has seen him become our most prolific finisher, whilst Most Improved player went to Cameron Tawfik, who became a regular first team player and one of the first names on the team sheet for his ability to call the lineout under pressure and keep his cool.

With Runners up,  Seb RobinsonLoz Breese and Ben Barkley, the Player of the Season Award went to Frank Kelly, who played in every single game this season and proved to be handful for defenders in every game. His ability to beat his man in attack and defence has meant he has stamped his authority in a number of Man of the Match performances.
