Sponsorships

Luctonians look to tailor-made sponsorship or Corporate packages to suit the individual company’s requirements and budget. Unlike most amateur sports clubs we look to give a real benefit to those businesses that support the Club. As a rough rule of thumb we allow 10% of the value of any cash, goods or services supplied to the Club in sponsorship to fund the benefits back to the sponsoring business. The benefits returned to the sponsor are negotiated as part of the sponsorship deal and are designed to meet the needs of the Sponsor. Luctonians have set up several partnerships with business to forward the interests of the Sponsor and the Club. A prime example is the Sun Valley Rugby Project, a three-year deal between Sun Valley, Bengrys Motors and Sportsmatch to take rugby to local schools. The whole package was tailored to meet the individual requirement of the companies involved and, with the help of Sportsmatch, all Corporate monies given into the project were doubled to give a good working capital to ensure that the project had sustainability.

We have standard areas that require sponsors such as each of the playing teams. It is hoped that a sponsorship deal for a team will cover the cost of running that team. Returns again look to be 10% of the overall value of the sponsorship with company branding on team playing kit being a standard return. Programme Advertising: Advertise your company products and services in our match day programme for a season. Priority is given to existing advertisers who wish to renew their adverts. Current rates are

Player Sponsorship Each 1st XV squad members requires a Players Sponsor that covers the costs of his seasons playing expenses. In return the Sponsor has their Name/ Business details along with a brief description of their business published beneath a photograph of the player sponsored in the match programme. Pitchside Advertising is available around the 1st XV pitch. and are subject to a 3 year deal. The boards are produced by Multisigns, Leominster and the cost of production is invoiced directly by Multisigns to the Company. Luctonians will then charge an annual rent for each of the 3 years. Subsequent to the initial deal rent only will be charged annually. Board Cost £145 + vat Rent of advertising space £150 (no vat) a year, fixed for three years.

Corporate Membership is available at £1500 + vat a year. Benefits of Corporate Membership are:

Corporate Members will have access to England home international tickets on a priority application. (Corporate Members will be guaranteed a least 2 tickets to one of the England home Six Nations games- application must be made by 1 st September.)

Corporate Members will receive a free listing in the Luctonians Business Directory

Corporate Members will receive an invitation to join other corporate members to one luncheon each season prior to a 1st XV home league game. This invitation will be free of charge (except for alcohol and other drinks consumed) and will consist of Lunch for 10 persons, programme and entry into the featured league game.

Corporate members will benefit from discounted services and products from other Business and members who are supporting the Corporate Membership scheme.

Corporate Members will receive 2 free programmes and entry into all Luctonians 1 st XV home league and cup games.

Corporate Members will be able to use the Club’s facilities for corporate purposes, subject to advance booking and availability, free of charge. (This is subject to Luctonians providing catering arrangements and bar facilities if required. If additional expenses are incurred in providing the Corporate Member with their requirements these expenses will be passed on to the Corporate Member at Cost. If additional staffing costs are incurred to provide these services these will also be charged to the Member other than those costs involved with provision of catering and bar facilities.)
