The boys are well into their warmup session. The weather forecast for sunny spells is quite cool and the ground good to soft.
TYNEDALE v LUCTONIANS KICKS OFF
Tynedale take us into the first game of the season, marking our return to National Rugby
TYNEDALE 3 v 0 LUCTONIANS
The first penalty goes to the hosts and kicked in front of the posts
TYNEDALE 10 v 0 LUCTONIANS
A good scrum initially saw Lucs on the charge, but was rapidly brought to a halt by a knock on. Tynedale, pushing forward, crossed the line. Converted
TYNEDALE 10 v 7 LUCTONIANS
A free kick in the Tynedale half gives Lucs a lineout, from which LOUIS SILVER crosses the whitewash. Silver converts his try.
Lucs push from the restart and are awarded a penalty inside the Tynedale half. Lucs loose the lineout, but the clearance kick goes nowhere and Lucs win the ensuing lineout. On the charge again but Lucs loose 10m due to language.
TYNEDALE 10 v 12 LUCTONIANS
Tyne take the ball deep into the Lucs half and achieve a lineout on our 22. Good defence takes us back to a scrum on the halfway line from which FRANK KELLY goes on the charge, crossing the line. Unconverted.
TYNEDALE 17 v 12 LUCTONIANS
Tyne go on the charge but Lucs defend a bit too well, giving them a penalty. Not straight at the lineout gives Lucs a scrum but a scrumdown penalty gives it back to Tyne who push-over for the try. Converted.
TYNEDALE 20 v 12 LUCTONIANS
Another penalty is awarded to Tyne and their kicker again successfully goes for the posts.
TYNEDALE 23 v 12 LUCTONIANS
Restart is soon followed by a scrum being awarded to Tyne, followed by a further penalty within range of the posts, which their kicker again takes advantage of.

Lucs kick us into the second half.
TYNEDALE 23 v 19 LUCTONIANS
Following the restart, Tyne kicked deep and Lucs surged forward. A short kick forward and Lucs won a lineout from which they closed in on Tyne’s try line. Lucs were then awarded a scrum just outside the Tyne 5m and some brilliant play saw ROB BENGRY cross the line. Converted by WILL BURTON.
TYNEDALE 23 v 24 LUCTONIANS
A fast moving game this, with two scrums each being followed by incredible charges from FRANK KELLY, the first being 30m. Lucs awarded a penalty on Tyne’s 5m which sees ROB CROWLEY score the try. Unconverted (off the upright). Lucs are piling on the pressure, causing Tyne to make mistakes.
TYNEDALE 30 v 24 LUCTONIANS
Following a knock on by Tyne in the Lucs half, they manage to surge forward, taking play to the Lucs 22, from where they make a break, crossing the line. Converted.
TYNEDALE 30 v 31 LUCTONIANS
Tyne make it as far as the Lucs 22 but are slowly forced back. Following a scrum on the halfway line, Lucs make the charge and CAMERON TAWFIK crosses the whitewash. Converted by WILL BURTON.
TYNEDALE 33 v 31 LUCTONIANS
Tyne are not rolling over. They charge forward and a battle ensues on the Lucs 5m line. A resultant penalty gives Tyne a kick right in front of the posts. Converted.
TYNEDALE 33 v 36 LUCTONIANS
With no time to waste, Lucs immediately go on the charge and ROB CROWLEY scores the try. Unconverted
